Looking for the feeling of cold in Iceland

Iceland in my impress is very cold and desolate, she likes a extraterrestrial land. that is very match for my assignment style in this semester. I looking for some desolate place to convey my subject that is sad and loneliness.

I think the image is simpler the feeling would be more lonely.

The open field of vision to make people feel themselves are small and helplessness.

I always pay attention to research different feeling in different works. for example, if I doing food photograph , I might want to think about what feeling can let people like to eat. so that would be concern color,light, composition or The modelling of the subject.
